Welcome
Hello! I’m Dr. Rainey Brown, a licensed therapist based out of Nashville, TN. My passion is working with women who are motivated to grow, heal, and create a more fulfilling and empowered life. I have extensive experience in working with partner betrayal trauma, core issues related to complex (developmental, relational, and attachment) trauma, marriage and relationship issues, codependency, boundaries, enmeshed family systems, life transitions, and adjustment issues.
In our safe, confidential, and supportive environment, you are free to explore past or present experiences, identify limiting beliefs, and uncover patterns that may be holding you back. I can help you develop the tools to build confidence and clarity, set and maintain healthy boundaries, foster resilience and self-compassion, and define actions that align with your true desires. I would be honored to be a part of your journey toward healing and transformation.
"I can help you... build confidence and clarity; and define actions that align with your true desires."

"Change can feel intimidating and overwhelming—but you don’t have to navigate it alone."
Walking With You Through Your Journey
From the beginning, I provide a safe, comfortable space where you don’t have to perform—where you can simply be you.
I specialize in helping motivated women as they heal trauma, break generational and relational cycles, and reconnect with their truest selves. Our work goes beyond surface-level coping; together, we get to the root of your pain so you can build a life that feels purposeful, connected, and deeply fulfilling.
By healing the core issues beneath these experiences, you can reconnect with your authentic self, learn to regulate your nervous system, set healthy boundaries, and show up as a grounded, secure adult in your relationships.
In our work, clients begin to feel more grounded in who they are. They feel seen, confident, and whole—able to show up in their relationships with more love, compassion, and emotional presence for themselves and the people they care about most. Clients leave therapy describing a greater sense of personal meaning, agency, and empowerment.
I also offer intensive therapy for clients ready to dive deep to experience change more quickly. Intensives allow you to accomplish in a few days what can otherwise take years of traditional therapy. Intensives can be scheduled in ½ day or full day increments.
Change can feel intimidating and overwhelming—but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you, moving gently and at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we’ll approach your story with curiosity and compassion, exploring what has shaped you and brought you to this moment. I would be honored to talk with you about scheduling. Feel free to contact me for more information.
How I Can Help...
Partner Betrayal Trauma
As a Betrayal Trauma Specialist, I have extensive training and expertise in helping partners heal from the wounds of infidelity and betrayal trauma. If you are seeking healing and support from betrayal due to someone else’s struggle with pornography, sex addiction, or problematic sexual behaviors, I would be honored to be a part of your healing journey.
I am a Clinical Certified Partner Trauma Specialist (CCPS) through the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) as well as a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). In addition, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) for trauma.
As a therapist who treats betrayal trauma, I value creating a safe space for women navigating the profound emotional aftermath of broken trust—often stemming from infidelity, deception, or abandonment by someone they deeply relied on.
I have found this work requires a delicate balance of empathy, validation, and gentle guidance, as clients often experience intense grief, anxiety, shame, and a shattered sense of self. My role is not to rush the healing process or push them toward forgiveness, but to help them process their pain, rebuild a sense of safety, and reconnect with their inner strength. I provide a grounded, trauma-informed approach that honors the complexity of their experience while fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and empowerment. Witnessing clients rediscover their voice, boundaries, and self-worth after betrayal is one of the most meaningful aspects of this work.
If you have recently found yourself in the tsunami of discovery and desperately desire a space to explore your next steps and how to foster safety and stabilization, I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way. If you have been in the heartbreaking pain of partner betrayal for months or years, I am here to support you in the healing process of finding your way forward and reclaiming your life.
